Next podcast episode is from DJ Roger, who lives in Taganrog and whom you may have already heard in RTPOD5 as a part of Digital Punks duo. Vladislav Molchanov was born in 1987. He joined the ranks of his hometown underground culture in 2006, and nowadays he still remains it’s faithful defender and keeper. He started playing schranz and hardtechno as a DJ in 2007, and in 2008 Digital Punks promo group (and DJ duo) was born. Currently, Vladislav prefers classic and experimental techno grooves, using vinyl and/or digital techniques. The mix he recorded for our podcast shows his preferences and devotion to the sound of proper techno that we promote. Enjoy!

Yo Yo Yo! For the first time we got a foreigner, guest DJ in Russian Techno podcast! Stak Etop is from Finland. He’s from Tenkale posse and label with excellent taste and big collection of everything experimental and wonky in his box. I was honored to play with him and Serotanine in St. Petersburg in May on our first vinyl release party. And this mix is almost identical to the one he played there in FL^T club. Let’s say it’s a ‘studio mix’ of that stuff. Hope you enjoy fresh Finnish techno winds! And prepare to meet new releases soon!

Yo! Good news everyone. Our record hit the quality papers of Mixmag – the most fluent magazine you all know. It’s the experimental tune of the month in July 2010 issue. Thanks goest to everyone, and specially to the guys on Erutufon forums who helped spread the news about our self-printed record. Enjoy the music! News of June
First of all, the site had some fixing during last month. We got new features added: intergration with social networks (on the left in the bar), new comment system (sorry some latest posts’ comments were lost during transformation procedures), plus minor fixes and improvements… Aaaand, i have plans to start selling music on popular Digital Platforms (such as Juno, iTunes, Beatport, etc…), and now i choose proper distribution.
But, free releases will continue, of course, and podcasts too. Sorry for delay, new beats will appear very soon! I got 2 new podcasts and about 3-4 releases ready to go, so i guess new content will be online in a couple of days! Stay tuned! ;) Yours, Vadz.

Serge DJ Krot («a mole» in Russian) is from St. Petersburg. His production alias is Digital Damage. Half of his life he played techno music in all of it’s appearances – from Detroit to experimental. He began his experiments back in 1996 on tape reel players with custom built pitch control. His record-collecting started in 1997… He calls himself a true techno fighter! 11th episode of Russian Techno Podcast shows his mixing skills – classic, minimal techno, experimental, intelligent, broken… all in one. Nice one, check it out! This mix is the ‘face’ of DJ Krot.

Our next podcast episode is finest techno coming from St. Petersburg-based DJ Hellper. Oleg Vinogradov was born in 1981. He was seriously cought by music in 1995, and his religion turned to techno in 1997 while he was listening to Jonzon playing on a big rave in St. Petersburg. Since that he started collecting records… and for now he has played in almost all the clubs of his hometown including other cities. His musical tastes spread from to Tresor and Drumcode to Gigolo and Kanzleramt. He’s truly devoted to the good old techno sound, respecting artists like Joey Beltram, Jeff Mills, Surgeon, The Advent, Cristian Vogel, Neil Landstrumm, Robert Hood, Steve Stoll and many others. ‘The Godfather’ of Russian techno scene – Oleg Azelitsky aka DJ Slon from St. Petersburg presents his selection of actual techno records. Oleg is talented in many areas of art, he recently wrote a book and now finishes another one, but he earned his main reputation of course in dj’ing, and party-making. His company ‘Underground Experience‘ brings quaility to the dancefloor since the early 90′s. This set contains fresh modern-sounding tunes as well as some nostalgic old-school flashbacks. Lokodepo DJ-duo are 2 brothers – Anton & Igor. Their native town is Vologda, which, being norther, forms almost equal triangle with Moscow and St. Petersburg. Brothers studied in musical school during childhood. By 1995 they were listening to happy hardcore and various native electronic groups. In 2003 they bought their first turntables and records, and began researches in techno music and dance culture. They also organised a lot of parties and even festivals in Vologda and got invited to many gigs in other cities throughout the country. The sound of Lokodepo DJ-sets is 100% techno. And you never know what record they’re going to put next. But, you can be sure, the record will work perfect on the dancefloor! Check out this special Russian Techno mix from Lokodepo DJ-duo.
